These Terms of Agreement ("Terms") govern access to and use of CyberGuard, an interactive cybersecurity training and classroom-tracking platform. By creating an account, joining a class, or otherwise using CyberGuard, you agree to these Terms. If you're using CyberGuard on behalf of a school or organization, you're also agreeing on that organization's behalf.
By accessing or using CyberGuard, you confirm that you've read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and by our End User License Agreement (EULA). If you don't agree, please don't use CyberGuard.
CyberGuard is intended for use in an educational setting, typically set up and supervised by a teacher or school administrator ("Admin"). Students generally join through a class code provided by their Admin.
If a student is below the age of digital consent, their school or a parent/guardian is responsible for authorizing their use of CyberGuard, consistent with the school's own enrollment and technology-use policies and with the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173) and its Implementing Rules and Regulations, which govern how a minor's personal data may be processed. You agree not to:
Lessons, modules, and files made available through CyberGuard (including anything an Admin uploads to a class) are provided for your own educational use within the platform. Unless your Admin says otherwise, don't copy, redistribute, or publish that material outside of CyberGuard.
CyberGuard tracks module completion, scores, and — where applicable — issues a completion certificate within the platform. These reflect activity within CyberGuard only; unless stated otherwise, they aren't an accredited qualification and don't guarantee real-world protection against phishing or other cyber threats. CyberGuard is a training tool, not a substitute for your own good judgment or your organization's security policies.
CyberGuard relies on third-party infrastructure to operate — currently Firebase (accounts and class/progress data) and Supabase (storage for uploaded lesson files), and may support signing in with a Google account. Your use of those sign-in and storage features is also subject to that provider's own terms. An Admin may remove a student from a class, and CyberGuard (or your school) may suspend or terminate an account that violates these Terms or the acceptable-use rules above. You may stop using CyberGuard at any time.
CyberGuard is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including — without limitation — merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't guarantee CyberGuard will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fully secure.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, CyberGuard and its [operator/school name] won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the platform.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above. Continuing to use CyberGuard after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
